It was great to catch up with Reece Stafferton today, and chat about his work developing the Leicester Citizen. Reece shared his thoughts and experience of supporting and promoting local and independent journalism in Leicester, and the essential difference that community-focussed and cooperative news models make. As well as explaining what his aspirations are for the Leicester Citizen Newsletter, Reece identified what he sees as essential values for locally relevant news as we build back after the pandemic.
